Course Goal / Objective
In the course, which includes teaching the theoretical infrastructure of Public Relations within the framework of current information; basic concepts and definitions in the field of public relations, historical development, relationship with other fields, methods and models used, communication methods and importance with target audience and media tools in public relations, tools and design of tools, application forms in different fields, the impact and shaping of new media environments on public relations, professional ethics laws and theoretical ethical models are transferred and it is aimed to gain competence in the field.
Course Content
Basic Concepts and Definitions in Public Relations, Expanding Function of Public Relations and Guerrilla Public Relations, Marketing Communication and Public Relations Methods, Social Change and Marketing Communication, Proactive and Reactive Public Relations, Historical Development of Public Relations in Different Countries, Public Relations Models, Internal Public Relations, Target Audience and Importance in Public Relations, Stages of Public Relations Process, Social Responsibility, Public Relations and Communication Interaction, Public Relations and Persuasion Theories, Public Relations and Media Relations, Written Press in Public Relations, Radio, Television, Press Conference / Press Release / Press Invitation, Product Communication and Placement, Exhibition and Fair Organisations, Public Relations and New Media, Event Management, Sponsorship, Crisis Management in Public Relations, Corporate Image, Corporate Reputation and Corporate Identity, Public Diplomacy, Lobbying Activities, Public Relations Professional Ethics Laws, Theoretical Ethical Models in Public Relations will be discussed and transferred; will be provided to dominate the field.
