Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to provide comprehensive instruction on the metabolism of biomolecules in the mammalian organism, focusing on the basic mechanisms of carbohydrate, lipid, protein and nucleic acid metabolism, energy production processes, regulatory pathways and metabolic events, and to enable students to understand and interpret the functioning of biochemical processes in the organism.
Course Content
This course covers general biochemical metabolism concepts, hormones, carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolisms, metabolic relationships and results of biochemical events occurring in tissues and organs.
