Course Goal / Objective
The student aims to gain the ability to understand sedation, anesthesia, analgesia and reanimation techniques in different species of animals and to apply them routinely in a clinical setting or in field conditions in a scientific and rational manner.
Course Content
This course includes; selection of appropriate anesthetic agent after classification of patients according to ASA criteria and information about factors affecting selection, classification of anesthesia periods, routine general anesthesia in each animal species, preanesthetic evaluation of the patient, preparation for general anesthesia, analgesia, premedication, anesthesia plan, routines such as induction, maintenance and awakening, application of local anesthesia techniques according to animal species, detailed information about inhalation anesthesia and monitoring.
