Course Goal / Objective
The objective of this course is to teach the graduates of the Veterinary Faculty the fundamental criteria of apiculture and beekeeping, and to equip them with the knowledge and skills required to identify bee diseases and pests, and to diagnose and treat such diseases.
Course Content
The components of this course consist of the anatomic structure of honey bee, its physiologic features and beekeeping; taxonomy, morphological and biological characteristics of the organisms causing disease in bees; the clinical symptoms, identification, treatment and control of such diseases.
