Course Goal / Objective
The aim of the course is to teach use of drugs in animals with food value and drug residues in animal foods.
Course Content
It includes the use of drugs in food animals and the responsibilities of veterinarians, the importance of drug residues, residue, ineffective amount, acceptable daily intake level, safety factor, tolerance level, causes of residues, residue-kinetics, residue half-lives, waiting period before slaughter, drugs that are prohibited and dangerous for use in food animals, the effects of drug residues on consumers, monitoring of residues in animal foods, and regulations on residues.
