Course Goal / Objective
The aim of the course is to provide students with the basics of nanotechnology, its history, applications and original materials; To enable students to understand the synthesis and production of nanomaterials and their applications in industry.
Course Content
Introduction to nanoscale materials, dimensions and effects of nanomaterials, nanostructures found in nature, classification of nanomaterials, Structural Characterization of Nanomaterials: XRD, SEM, TEM, Surface Characterization of Nanomaterials: AES, XPS, SIMS and application areas of Nanomaterials will be discussed. Additionally, students will be taught the environmental effects of nanomaterials and their toxic effects on non-target organisms
