Course Goal / Objective
To provide information about the definition of biotechnology, its application areas and its use in plant breeding.
Course Content
This course covers the definition and application areas of biotechnology, plant tissue culture and laboratory organization, embryo rescue and embryo culture, somatic embryogenesis and organogenesis, haploid plant production, meristem culture, examination of DNA and RNA structures, PCR mechanism, genetic markers and genetically modified organisms.
