Course Learning Outcomes

Order Course Learning Outcomes
LO01 Explains that soil is not a simple sheltering material but a dynamic entity containing living, organic and inorganic structures.
LO02 Explain the roles of factors such as parent rock, topography, time, climate and living organisms in the formation of soils and the effect of each of these factors on soil properties.
LO03 Indicates the significant effects of soil not only on the growth, yield and quality characteristics of plants, but also on obtaining safe food and, consequently, on human health.
LO04 Explains that agricultural practices such as irrigation, fertilization and soil tillage vary according to soil properties.
LO05 Explains that soil is a filter and buffering element for environmental pollutants in terms of ecological balance.
LO06 Explains that if the agricultural properties of the soil are lost, it is not possible to bring it back to agriculture and to have the same properties as before the soil degradation.
