Course Goal / Objective

To introduce the representation of images on the computer, basic image processing methods and algorithms in spatial and frequency domains, to develop applications for machine learning-supported image classification and object recognition in images.

Course Content

Definition of image, camera, digital image, 2D signals and systems, digital image enhancement, point and morphological transformations.
