Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is build up the knowledge and skills for rasing and improving sheep and goat characteristics.

LO01 Gains knowledge on breeding sheep and goats. Gains knowledge about breeding, breeding and feeding of sheep and goats.
LO02 Knows domestic sheep and goat breeds. Knows the phenotypic and genotypic characteristics of these breeds. It will have an idea about which regions it can be grown.
LO03 Gains knowledge about the breeding of domestic sheep and goat breeds. Have both theoretical and practical knowledge about what can and cannot be done to increase fertility.
LO04 gains experience in pregnancy and birth in small ruminants.
LO05 learns in detail about preparation for birth in sheep and goats and practices at lambing and kidding
