Course Goal / Objective
The goal of the course is examination of the archaeology of the Levant during the period ca. 2000-600 BC.
Course Content
This course covers material life (architecture, art, metal, pottery, burial customs etc) of the Levant during the Middle and Late Bronze Ages; the place of the Levant on the international scene during the 2nd millennium BC; the eastern Mediterranean crisis at the end of the Bronze Age; and the emergence of new ethnic-linguistic groups in the Iron Age Levant.
