Course Goal / Objective

It is aimed to teach the basic mathematical skills and concepts that need to be addressed in order to support the cognitive development of children in the preschool period, how to impart these concepts to children, how to plan activities related to the concepts, and how to include the activities in the daily plan.

Course Content

The importance of mathematics in early childhood, cognitive development in children, basic issues addressed in early childhood mathematics education, planning, implementation and evaluation of mathematics activities in early childhood.
