Course Goal / Objective

Dil edinimi ile ilgili temel bilgi ve becerileri kazandırma; dil edinim ve dil öğrenimi farkını algılama, dil ediniminde karşılaşılabilen sorunlarını belirleme, dil edinim sürecine etki eden unsurları anlama ve onları olumlayabilme becerisi kazanma.

Course Content

Basic knowledge of language acquisition, physical and mental elements of language acquisition, differences between language acquisition and language learning, second language acquisition, language and brain relation, acquisition and learning difference, acquisition processes, factors affecting language acquisition, Chomsky and language acquisition theories, acquisition and the critical period, the concept of foreign language in language acquisition, the role of parents in language acquisition.
