Course Goal / Objective

This is a two-term cource in economics. It is aimed to teach the basic concepts and definitions in economics, its relations with other sciences such as sociology, law, mathematic. Its two basic subjects are microeconomics and macroeconomics. We shall begin with microeconomics in the fall term.

Course Content

It deals with micro units in economics such as individual or households, firms (big or small), and the relationships between them. As we learned about supply, demand, scarcity, efficiency and productivity, the price system, households, firms, markets (perfectly competitive or imperfectly competitive or factors of production). Students are expected to understand the way we get rational decisions, and rational choice.
