Course Goal / Objective

To give information about the definition and classification of conductive textiles, to teach the production techniques of conductive textiles, to give information about the properties and usage areas of conductive textiles.

Course Content

Definition of conductivity, electrical conductivity, measurement methods. Conductive textiles; conductive fiber production, conductive yarn production, conductive fabric production. General properties of conductive textiles. Electromagnetic shielding properties of conductive textiles, measurement methods. Microbiological (antibacterial, antifungal, antiodour) properties of conductive textiles, measurement methods. Usage areas of conductive textiles.
