Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to cover, the reasons, development and properties of philosophy in the Ancient Greece and the views of the main representatives of the Ancient Philosophy until Mediveal in a chronological order.

Course Content

In this lecture the following matters will be discussed: arkhe, being (Parmenides, Platon, Aristoteles), becoming (Herakleitos), ethics (Sokrates, Stoa, Epicure). Historical informations will be increased with critical comparisons between Sophists-Sokrates, Herakleitos-Parmenides and Plato-Aristotle.
