Course Goal / Objective

In this course, which is an introduction to family therapy, the historical development of family therapies, the theoretical foundations of family therapy, and basic family therapy models are introduced. Information is given about the latest developments in the field. The aim of the course is to introduce the system approaches used in family therapies and to develop skills in identifying and solving family problems.

Course Content

Within the scope of this course, the psychological and sociological structure of the family; spouse selection in marriage; work life and family; contemporary changes in the family; difference between individual therapy and family therapy; Topics such as appropriate therapy techniques constitute the content of this course.
