Course Goal / Objective
To have knowledge about the breeding and breeding of layer broiler chickens. To gain theoretical and practical knowledge about pullet breeding.
Course Content
Importance of parent rising, types of laying hen breeds and hybrid features, local hybrid studies in Turkey, grand parent and parents, growing methods, sex-linked inheritance, separate sex and importance, environmental factors affecting the performance of layers, standards for laying hens, growing second year yield, type of operation, properties of economic importance and heredity, genetic improvement of parent properties, hybridization methods, test procedures and selection methods, recent development and researches results.
