Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide information about travel, tourism and tourist-related concepts in the Tourism and Travel Services program and to gain proficiency in these subjects.

Course Content

Concepts related to tourism and tourists, functions of tourism, factors affecting the development of tourism, content and characteristics of the tourism industry, supply and demand in tourism, history of tourism in the world, history of tourism in Turkey, place and importance of tourism in the economy, types and characteristics of tourism enterprises, tourism and transportation, relations between tourism and economic environment.

The course has no prerequisites.
