Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to evaluate textile patterns in terms of design and production, and to relate and interpret them with today's design concept.
Course Content
This course deals with intercultural interactions in textile surface decoration. The course focuses on the earliest history of universalized textile patterns, the textile and design approaches of artists in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, old-new companies, the revival of handicrafts and the new lines of textile. It is aimed to turn the results obtained after the literature research into a scientific report and to present them in written, oral and visual formats.
