Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to ensure that students gain awareness about art and aesthetics and understand art movements and aesthetic theories. Students will be able to analyze works of art and develop their understanding of aesthetics in media and visual arts.
Course Content
Concepts of art and aesthetics Basic periods and movements in art history Aesthetic theories and philosophers' views Visual perception, composition and aesthetic elements Aesthetic approaches in cinema, television and photography Digital art and new media aesthetics Art criticism and analysis techniques Contemporary understandings of art and its relationship with media
