Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to gain knowledge about soil, plant and water relations. As a result of examining the relations between plant roots and the surrounding soil, water and atmosphere, it is aimed to create optimum conditions in the root environment and to obtain better plant growth and yield.

Course Content

Environmental factors, soil moisture content, water potentials, plant environment relations, water intake by plants and plant transport mechanisms by the water transport and transport mechanisms in the plant, crop water requirements and crop physiology measurements.
