Course Goal / Objective
It aims to apply current conservative treatment approaches and provide midwifery care in the protection and maintenance of pelvic floor health.
Course Content
Basic definitions in urogynecology, urinary and fecal incontinence incidence, symptoms, effects on quality of life, diagnosis and treatment methods, prolapse and fistulas, conservative treatment methods in urogynecology and the role of the midwife, the effect of pregnancy and delivery on the pelvic floor, protection of the pelvic floor during pregnancy and delivery.
