Course Goal / Objective

In this course, it is aimed to know the basic concepts of media economics, to have knowledge about the theories and models related to media economics, to comprehend the production and service strategies in the media sector, to realize the economic nature of media products, to evaluate the effects of the globalization process on the media industry.

Course Content

The scope of course is fundamental concepts and theorems about media economy. Furthermore, Turkey's evolution process from press to media is evaluated in connection with media's economic policies.
