Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce digital journalism environments and opportunities and to gain knowledge and skills about platform-based news production and distribution methods. For example, the use of SEO, Google Analytics, Google Trends tools and the techniques of producing content capable of responding to the needs of these tools are aimed to be acquired by the students.

Course Content

This course covers the methods of how the journalist will obtain raw data, how to process this data for news and which types of digital content to evaluate. In addition, search engine optimization, which has become a mandatory practice area in all media organizations for digital media journalism, and related ethical journalism production methods will also be covered in the course.
