Course Goal / Objective

Teaching agroecological and sustainability methods in the preparation and implementation of weed management programs that are the subject of the weed science

Course Content

Agroecology, which means the science of sustainable agriculture, is a science with internationally determined principles. One of these principles is the application of sustainable control methods to be used to protect plant health. Weeds are an important problem in crop production. A successful management of weeds in sustainable agriculture systems is a long and complex process that starts with identifying problem weeds and is based on the determination of their relations with agricultural practices while creating control strategies. Within the scope of this course, this process and the relationships and methods that will manage this process will form the content of the course.
