Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course, which is basically based on teaching the birth and development of Modern Turkey, is to provide accurate information about the Ataturkist Thought System, the History of the Republic of Turkey and the threats to Turkey and the practices of the Kemalist Thought System; To raise and strengthen Turkish youth in line with the Ataturkist Thought System in an indivisible integrity with their country, nation and state, and to unite them around national goals; To raise individuals who are rational, modern, honorable, hard-working, full of love for the country and nation, and have a personality consisting of tolerance and humane ideas.

Course Content

Declaration of the Republic and political, social and cultural reforms, economic breakthroughs, problems that the Lausanne Peace Treaty could not solve and their conclusion, movements against the new order, multi-party life experiments and their results, Atatürk period, Turkish Foreign Policy, İnönü period and World War II years, Turkey's transition to multi-party life, Democratic Party period and after Kemalism and Ataturk Principles
