Course Goal / Objective

To comprehend the richness of Turkish; to be able to use a correct and effective Turkish in written and verbally; to instill the importance of language by comprehending the relationship between language and culture, to comprehend the rules to be considered in correspondence.

Course Content

In the content of this course, the concept of language and the place and importance of language as a social institution in the life of a nation are discussed. The place of Turkish language among the world languages and its historical development process are examined. The sounds in Turkish and the classification of sounds, the sound features of Turkish and the rules related to phonetics will be detailed within the scope of the course. In addition, Turkish construction and inflectional suffixes and their applications will be emphasized, planning and application stages to be used in composition writing will be taught. Petition and resume writing, spelling and punctuation rules are also included in the course content.
