Course Goal / Objective

To provide students with an understanding of basic linear algebra concepts and processes. To help students to apply the concepts and processes related to the subject to problem situations and to help the formation of knowledge that will enable them to use solution methods effectively.

Course Content

In this course, matrices and basic operations on matrices are discussed. Special types of matrices, elementary operations, isomial matrices and elementary matrices will be emphasized, and the inverse and rank of a matrix will be analyzed. In addition, the concept of determinant and the basic properties of the determinant function will be detailed. Systems of linear equations will be introduced and solution methods of these systems will be discussed with practical examples.
