Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to make students comprehend the important basic concepts in probability and statistics and to gain the skills of preparing plans and activities related to data processing and probability learning area in the mathematics program by using the methods, techniques and materials used in statistics teaching.

Course Content

Basic concepts of probability, types of probability, probability simulations and probability distributions; data aggregation, organization, representation and analysis of data, distribution concept, frequency distributions, central teaching trend measures and distribution measures subjects (organizing course content-appropriate teaching using their materials and strategies etc.); student knowledge on these subjects (not related to concepts to understand and interpret students' thoughts, difficulties experienced by students, mistakes, concepts knowing their mistakes and their reasons); the relationship of these issues with daily life and other lessons.
