Course Goal / Objective
To introduce curtain wall systems, to give information about the design and application principles of these systems.
Course Content
The concept and development of external wall, the concept of curtain wall, the place and importance of curtain walls in architecture, historical development of curtain walls. Classification of curtain walls. Heavy curtain walls, light curtain walls, materials used in curtain walls, components, connection elements. Application of facade systems.
