Course Goal / Objective
This course aims to examine in detail the concept of shareholding in joint stock companies, the rights and obligations of shareholders, the legal relations arising from shareholding and current legal issues. It is aimed to provide students with the ability to analyze national and international legal regulations regarding shareholding, shareholder protection mechanisms, minority rights, corporate governance principles and the relationship between shareholders and company management. In addition, evaluating current legal issues arising from shareholding and developing solution proposals for these issues are among the main objectives of the course. This course provides a theoretical background for lawyers aiming to pursue an academic career, while also being a guide containing practical information for lawyers, corporate consultants and legal professionals working in the field of commercial law.
