Course Goal / Objective
This course aims to comprehensively cover the concept of joint and several liability, its legal bases and its effects in practice. How joint and several liability is regulated and applied in different branches of law such as Turkish Law of Obligations, Commercial Law, Labor Law and Insurance Law will be examined. In addition, joint and several liability models will be discussed from the perspective of comparative law and this type of liability will be evaluated within the framework of the principles of justice and balance.
Course Content
Joint and several liability has an important place in many fields such as law of obligations, commercial law, labor law, insurance law and international law. This course aims to provide an in-depth analysis of joint and several liability by examining the legal bases of joint and several liability, the relationships between the parties, its application areas and judicial decisions.
