Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to analyze the property regimes regulated in Turkish Civil Law at an advanced level, to examine the legal regulations regarding the property of the spouses during and after the marriage union and to develop original solutions to the problems encountered in practice. The lecture will also evaluate international practices on property regimes from a comparative law perspective.
Course Content
This course aims to examine the property regimes in depth within the framework of the Turkish Civil Code. The content of the course is shaped within the framework of the legal framework of legal and optional property regimes, the rights and obligations of spouses regarding property, termination and liquidation of property regimes, current legal problems in practice and comparative law perspective.
