Course Goal / Objective

To acquire academic knowledge about the living world religions and their sacred texts.

Course Content

Especially, to learn about the religions still living in different geographies of the world today, the manifestations of these religions and their sacred texts

Course Precondition

Must have sufficient background on the general history of religions

Living World Religions, DIB publications. Moojen Momen, The Phenomenon of Religions. Mircea Eliade, History of Religious Beliefs and Thoughts-I,II,III. Koran, Holy Bible, Avesta, Upanishads, Confucius, Conversations, Laozi, Tao Te Ching.
