Course Goal / Objective

To teach the characteristics of laminar and turbulent flow in boundary layer, forces on submerged bodies, difusion, dispersion, potantial flows, Solution differential equations by finite difference method

Course Content

Boundary layer theory, Laminar boundary layer, turbulent boundary layer, Karman integral Momentum equation, Drag force, boundary layer separation, Diffusion, Dispersion, Turbulent diffusion, Convective dispersion, Potential theory, Stream function, Flow network, Free surface potential flow , Potential wave theory, Linear wave theory, Solution of some partial differential equations by finite difference method, Hydraulic similarity and modeling
