Course Goal / Objective
To be able to categorize the soil components depending on soil index properties, To measure soil properties with Permability, compressibility and shear strength tests, To interpret the soil behavior from laboratory experiments, To be able to discuss laboratory test results in technical reports.
Course Content
Soil Investigation Reports, Soil mineralogy, Soil water content, determination of porosity and void ratio, Soil composition and engineering properties, Compaction test, Permeability tests, Consolidation test, Strength analysis in geotechnical engineering.
