Course Goal / Objective

To provide information on the use of surveying activities in Mining engineering

Course Content

Introduction to mining measurements; Creation and application of mine boundary maps; Datum and coordinate transformations; Modern geodetic instruments used in mine surveying; Mine surveying in open pits; Mine surveying in the exploration of minerals; Special methods for opening galleries and tunnels in mines; Deformation measurements in open pit mine; Observation of subsidence that may occur due to underground mining works from the surface; Monitoring of landslides that may occur around the mine site; Monitoring of surface movements (landslides) with SAR Satellite methods; Monitoring of surface movements with UAV
