Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to teach students professional make-up techniques used on stage and in front of the camera. By learning make-up applications suitable for lighting, stage, camera and different environments, students will gain the skills to apply professional make-up in theatre, cinema, television and photo shoots. Additionally, they will develop the competence to apply character and effect make-up by performing facial analysis.

Course Content

Definition and importance of stage and lens makeup Lighting and camera effect – Understanding how makeup looks on stage and in front of the camera Make-up materials and usage techniques – Professional products and application methods Facial analysis and character make-up – Make-up and character creation suitable for face shape Theatre, cinema and television make-up – Appropriate make-up techniques according to the environment and scene Effects make-up – Aging, wound, burn and special effects applications Make-up application practice – Practical exercises for different stage and camera shots Professional make-up techniques in line with trends – Current make-up trends and innovations
