Course Goal / Objective
This course aims to teach professional massage techniques and enable students to acquire basic knowledge about muscle structure, circulatory system and nervous system. Students will develop hands-on skills by learning different types of massage and learn to use the correct techniques for clients.
Course Content
Definition and History of Massage: Origins, development and areas of use of massage. Anatomy and Physiology: Relationship of the muscular, skeletal and circulatory system with massage. Massage Techniques: Classical (Swedish) massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, aromatherapy massage and other methods. Products and Equipment Used in Massage: Auxiliary materials such as oils, creams and stone therapy. Professional Practices: Customer satisfaction, hygiene rules and ethical principles. Applied Massage Techniques: Practical applications with individual and group work
