Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the necessary concepts by defining radiation physics and to provide knowledge about the application areas of radiation.

Course Content

Radiation and Nuclear Interactions, Cross Section Calculation in Nuclear Reactions, Energy Applications of Radiation, Fission Energy and Nuclear Power Plants, Fusion Energy, Industrial Applications of Radiation, Academic and Scientific Applications of Radiation, Radiation Measurement and Dosimeters, Radiation Safety and ALARA Principle, Radiation Shielding.
