Course Goal / Objective

The objectives of this course are enable the students to understand the practical aspects of the environmental microbiology, biochemistry, biokinetic and bioreactor along with the process flowsheets.

Biochemistry and microbiology for environmental technologies, important microorganisms in biological treatment,biokinetics and bioreactors.

LO04 Students explain biokinetic theories and discuss how these theories are applied in biological treatment processes.
LO05 Students define bioreactor design and evaluate the role of bioreactors in environmental biotechnology applications.
