Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to explain the general status and legislation of agricultural biodiversity in the world and in our country and to collect, characterize and evaluate the genetic resources.

Course Content

Description and importance of biodiversity, plant genetic resources origins, potential of Turkeys agricultural biodiversity, plant genetic resources comprising biodiversity and their characteristics, management, collection, description, conservation and evaluation of agricultural biodiversity, utilization of agricultural biodiversity in plant breeding are the scopes of this lecture.
