Course Goal / Objective
The political science course aims to enable individuals to understand political systems, institutions and processes. This course provides students with the ability to analyze different forms of government, democratic mechanisms, ideologies and international relations. At the same time, political science helps individuals to approach social events consciously by developing their critical thinking skills. It contributes to students in evaluating political events, comparing different perspectives and producing solution proposals. This course encourages individuals to participate in society as active citizens. By providing democratic awareness, it enables citizens to better understand their rights and responsibilities. Thus, students gain the ability to evaluate political events at local and global levels and contribute to social change.
Course Content
The content of this course consists of the conceptual framework of political science, its historical development, basic concepts of political science, forms of government, political ideologies, political parties, civil society, interest groups.
