Course Goal / Objective
The purpose of this course is to emphasize the innovations brought to our country by the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 in business life, to ensure that students learn the obligations of the employer and the legal rights and responsibilities of employees within the scope of the legislation in order to prevent occupational accidents and diseases. To explain the physical, chemical, biological, psychosocial and ergonomic factors of occupational accidents and diseases, to explain the causes of occupational accidents, prevention methods and statistical calculations. To explain what personal protective equipment should be used in workplaces and how to use them, to teach what an emergency action plan means and safety and health signs.
Course Content
Development of Occupational Health and Safety concepts and rules, national and international agreements, Labor Law No. 4857, Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, Social Insurance Law No. 5510, information on labor legislation in occupational health and safety, legal rights and responsibilities of employees, workplace cleanliness and order, legal consequences arising from work accidents and occupational diseases, occupational diseases, methods and principles of child and youth training and legislation on this subject, physical factors, chemical factors, fire, biological factors, ergonomic factors, work accidents, personal protective equipment, safety and health signs, emergency action plans.
