Course Goal / Objective

Introduce the organisms and their control methods, such as insects and mites, fungi, bacteria, virus, nematodes and weeds causing economic losses to the cultivated plants,

Course Content

The ability for plant protection challenges in cultivation and reaches to the sufficient knowledge, evaluation and application to solve those challenges.

LO02 Gain the sufficient equipment to determine the challenges about the diseases, pests and weeds in plant health and identify those agents.
LO03 Researches the pests, diseases and weeds that cause problems in the plant and chooses the appropriate control method for the factor.
LO04 Gains knowledge about weeds that cause loss of productivity in crop cultivation and their control methods.
LO05 Learns fungi, bacteria and viruses that cause disease in plants and their general characteristics.
LO06 Gains information about insects, mites and nematodes that cause crop loss in plants.
LO07 Searches the living (biotic) and non-living (abiotic) factors that damage plants.
