Course Goal / Objective
The general aim of this course is to ensure that technical personnel who will pursue a career in civil engineering understand ethical principles, comprehend the processes to be carried out in the construction management process, and grasp the articles related to their field in the Zoning Law and the Planned Areas Zoning Regulation. It aims to equip them with the skills to use a quantity takeoff sheet, perform quantity takeoff, create a schedule using the critical path method, and calculate progress payments, as well as to understand the concepts related to contracts and tenders.
Course Content
This course covers fundamental concepts related to management, legislation related to the construction sector, ethics, feasibility, land and site selection, project preparation, permits, cost estimation, resource analysis, unit price analysis, quantity takeoff, scheduling, contracts, tenders, progress payments, supervision of construction production, and acceptance of structures.
