Course Goal / Objective

The aim of course: It is a graduate course which is designed within the framework of the principles and interpretations of agricultural ecosystem services in applied and basic research areas of the relationship between carbon balance and soil changes in soil and plant axis.

Course Content

The importance of organic carbon chemistry in the soil organic matter, formation and development of organic matter in soil, photosynthesis mechanism and capture of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through the plants and conversion to carbohydrate. Conditions of retention of organic carbon in the soil, soil and climate factors affecting carbon decomposition and decomposition from soil, active and passive carbon sources, carbon sequestration, carbon emissions under different management models to be processed into the atmosphere. The carbon budgeting which is released from the soil to the atmosphere and kept the carbon from the atmosphere through the plants, and the relations of carbon climate changes will be discussed.
