Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to teach students the basic principles and different theoretical approaches of personality theories and to be able to use these theories to understand the personality structure of individuals. It also aims to familiarize them with biological, psychodynamic, humanistic, behaviorist, cognitive and contemporary theories that explain personality development and to be able to apply this information in psychological counseling, education or other professional fields.

Course Content

This course primarily covers the concept of theory, why there are different personality theories, the classification of personality theories, the view of different personality theories on human nature, their basic concepts, the structure of personality and their views on personality development.

There is no prerequisite for this course.
