Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to enable students to see the differences between learned and unlearned behaviour. The focus will be primarily on different forms of learning that try to explain learning such as classical conditioning, operant conditioning and learning by observation. In addition, it is one of the aims of this course to examine the cognitive and biological foundations of learning.

Course Content

Factors affecting learning, behaviourism and learning, social-cognitive learning, gestalt psychology and learning, humanistic psychology and learning, cognitive psychology and learning, neuropsychology and learning, results of learning theory, relationship between intelligence and learning, learning strategies and styles.
